FAQ’s

Al Forsan Nursery is part of a group of initiatives located on a shared property which includes a sport resort and karting circuit. The developer is looking to expand the business and requires the space currently occupied by the nursery to implement the expansion. As a result, Aldar Education has made the decision to relocate its students to Yasmina British Academy prior to the commencement of any new construction activities.

As the largest premium school operator in Abu Dhabi, Aldar Education is able to provide optimum choices to staff and students.

The decision taken to relocate our students at Al Forsan Nursery has been taken in the best interests of our students and staff members to ensure no disruption to learning or employment.

All pre-FS and FS1 students will be relocated to the new Yasmina British Academy site. This is an exciting opportunity for the students to benefit from an enhanced learning experience in a school with an outstanding ADEK rating in all six performance standards.

Al Forsan Nursery’s current principal, Suzanne Summer, will no longer be heading the nursery. She will be working closely with Yasmina British Academy’s principal, Keith Miller, to ensure a smooth transition for our students. Suzanne Summer will continue supporting our network of schools at Aldar Education with her Early Years and Lower Primary expertise.

You will have the opportunity to meet Keith Miller at the scheduled meetings to learn more about the curriculum on offer and address any queries you may have.

Every student currently enrolled in our nursery provision is guaranteed a seat at Yasmina British Academy. Eight students, aged 1-2, will unfortunately not be relocated to Aldar Education schools since Al Forsan Nursery was the only Aldar Education-managed site which accommodated day care for ages 1-2 years old. We are on hand to assist the parents of these students and answer any queries they may have.

  • There are a total of 135 children at Al Forsan Nursery.
  • All Pre-FS and FS1 students (127 students) will be relocated to Yasmina British Academy.
  • Eight children, aged 1-2, will not be relocated to Aldar Education schools since Al Forsan Nursery was the only Aldar Education-managed site that accommodated day care for ages 1-2 years old.

Aldar Education currently owns and operates 28 schools across five emirates offering 3 curricula: IB, American and British.

We have over 33,000 students and a growing network of 4,000 educators from over 100 nationalities combined.

Therefore, Al Forsan Nursery students will continue to receive an excellent education, in addition to benefiting from the outstanding reputation and quality teaching offered by Yasmina British Academy.

The transition into a larger school with enhanced brand-new facilities, as well as the seamless integration into an educational facility that takes each child through to the end of high school, will benefit the students by providing an environment to achieve outstanding academic results. Every effort is being made to ensure an outstanding educational journey for each child.

At Al Shohub our EYFS starts at Nursery (3-4 years) and progresses to FS2 (4-5 years). This is a time of rapid growth for young children, when they are developing physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially, and therefore we keep our class sizes small, with additional adult support. Along with our fully qualified teachers, each class in our EYFS has trained and experienced teaching assistants to ensure your child is given the guidance, support and nurturing they need to become independent and resilient learners.
